Common Issues and Solutions
App Crashes When Opening
- Restart your device
- Check for app updates in the App Store
- Ensure iOS is up to date (Settings → General → Software Update)
- If the problem persists, export a backup, then delete and reinstall the app
Data Not Showing on Another Device
- Ensure iCloud is enabled on both devices (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud)
- Verify you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices
- Give iCloud a few minutes to sync — data syncs automatically in the background
- If sync doesn't resolve it, create a manual backup from one device and restore on the other
Cannot Export PDF
- Check available storage space on your device
- Ensure you have granted necessary permissions
- Try exporting a smaller date range
- Restart the app and try again
Statistics Not Calculating Correctly
- Verify all match data was entered correctly
- Check that player minutes played don't exceed match duration
- Review substitution timings for accuracy
- Pull down on the statistics screen to refresh
Subscription Not Recognized
- Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases
- Ensure you're signed in with the Apple ID that purchased the subscription
- Check your subscription status in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Restart the app after restoring
Touchline Match Not Saving
- Make sure you have an active Premium subscription
- Tap Save Match before closing the app — unsaved Touchline data is lost when the app closes
- Check available storage space on your device
iCloud Sync Not Working
- Ensure iCloud is enabled: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud
- Check that GoldenBoot has iCloud access enabled
- Verify both devices are on the same Apple ID
- Check your iCloud storage — if full, sync may pause
- Restart the app on both devices
- Give it a few minutes — initial sync can take time with large datasets
App Shows Wrong Version
- Check the App Store for updates
- The version number is shown in Settings at the top of the screen
- If stuck on an old version, delete and reinstall from the App Store (back up first)
