Common Issues and Solutions

App Crashes When Opening

  1. Restart your device
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Ensure iOS is up to date (Settings → General → Software Update)
  4. If the problem persists, export a backup, then delete and reinstall the app

Data Not Showing on Another Device

  1. Ensure iCloud is enabled on both devices (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud)
  2. Verify you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices
  3. Give iCloud a few minutes to sync — data syncs automatically in the background
  4. If sync doesn't resolve it, create a manual backup from one device and restore on the other

Cannot Export PDF

  1. Check available storage space on your device
  2. Ensure you have granted necessary permissions
  3. Try exporting a smaller date range
  4. Restart the app and try again

Statistics Not Calculating Correctly

  1. Verify all match data was entered correctly
  2. Check that player minutes played don't exceed match duration
  3. Review substitution timings for accuracy
  4. Pull down on the statistics screen to refresh

Subscription Not Recognized

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases
  2. Ensure you're signed in with the Apple ID that purchased the subscription
  3. Check your subscription status in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  4. Restart the app after restoring

Touchline Match Not Saving

  1. Make sure you have an active Premium subscription
  2. Tap Save Match before closing the app — unsaved Touchline data is lost when the app closes
  3. Check available storage space on your device

iCloud Sync Not Working

  1. Ensure iCloud is enabled: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud
  2. Check that GoldenBoot has iCloud access enabled
  3. Verify both devices are on the same Apple ID
  4. Check your iCloud storage — if full, sync may pause
  5. Restart the app on both devices
  6. Give it a few minutes — initial sync can take time with large datasets

App Shows Wrong Version

  1. Check the App Store for updates
  2. The version number is shown in Settings at the top of the screen
  3. If stuck on an old version, delete and reinstall from the App Store (back up first)
