Getting Started with GoldenBoot

System Requirements

  • iOS Version: iOS 17.6 or later
  • Devices: iPhone and iPad
  • Storage: Minimum 50 MB available space

Installation

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Search for “GoldenBoot
  3. Tap Get and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password
  4. Once installed, tap Open or find the GoldenBoot icon on your home screen

First Launch

When you first open GoldenBoot, you'll see the Welcome screen:

  1. Follow the onboarding guide
  2. Enter your team name
  3. The main tab bar will appear with:
    • Players — Manage your roster
    • Opponents — Track teams you play against
    • Matches — Record match results and stats
    • Reports — Generate PDF reports and analytics
    • Touchline — Live match tracking (nav bar button, Premium)
    • Settings — App configuration, backups, subscription, and organization

Quick Start Guide

1. Build Your Roster

  1. Tap the Players tab
  2. Tap + to add a player
  3. Enter name, jersey number, and position
  4. Toggle the Goalkeeper switch for keepers
  5. Repeat for all players on your team

Tip: You can also bulk import players from a CSV file. Go to Settings → Import Players.

2. Add Your Opponents

  1. Tap the Opponents tab
  2. Tap + to add an opponent
  3. Enter the team name and location

3. Record a Match

  1. Tap the Matches tab
  2. Tap + to create a new match
  3. Select the opponent, enter the date, score, and location
  4. After saving, tap the match to enter player statistics

4. Track a Live Match

  1. Navigate to Touchline mode (Premium)
  2. Select your opponent and mark your starters
  3. Tap Start to begin the game clock
  4. Track substitutions, goals, game events, and stats in real-time

5. Generate Reports

  1. Tap the Reports tab
  2. Choose a report type (Player, Match Summary, Season, Goalkeeper, Set Piece, Recent Form, Start Rate)
  3. Generate and share as PDF

Tip: With Premium, your data syncs automatically via iCloud. You can also create manual backups anytime in Settings → Backup & Restore.
