====== Saving & Sharing Matches ======

After tracking a match in Touchline mode, save your data and share results with your team. Touchline Mode requires a [[goldenboot:subscription|Premium subscription]].

===== Saving a Match =====

  - Advance the period to **Finished** (or save at any point during the match)
  - Tap **Save Match**
  - The match is saved to your GoldenBoot match history with all player stats, game events, and notes
  - Generate season reports, review career totals, and analyze trends
  - Saved matches sync automatically via iCloud to your other devices

===== What Gets Saved =====

When you save a Touchline match, everything is preserved:

  * Player statistics (goals, assists, shots, cards, minutes, etc.)
  * Goalkeeper statistics
  * Game log (goals, cards, substitutions, period changes, custom game events)
  * Match notes
  * Score and match details
  * Opponent set piece stats

===== PDF Match Reports =====

Generate a match summary PDF:

  - After saving, go to **Reports → Match Summary**
  - Select the match
  - Optionally toggle **Include Game Log** to add the full event timeline
  - A formatted report is generated including:
    * Match details (date, opponent, score)
    * Full player statistics
    * Goalkeeper performance
    * Game log with minute markers (if enabled)
  - Use the share sheet to send via:
    * **AirDrop**
    * **Email**
    * **Messages**
    * **Print**
    * **Save to Files**

===== Sharing Match Data =====

  * **PDF Report** — Formatted summary for parents, coaches, and staff
  * **JSON Export** — Share the raw match data file via backup export
  * **Email with Log** — Use **Settings → Contact Support** to attach your app log if needed

===== Browsing Saved Matches =====

All saved Touchline matches appear in your **Matches** tab:

  - Tap any match to view full stats, game log, and notes
  - Edit stats or match details at any time
  - Generate reports from any saved match
